Intergrain 4L Heavy Duty Timber Finish – 4L
Intergrain Heavy Duty Timber Finish is a high build, water-based exterior timber finish designed to protect timber in harsh weather conditions. Exceptionally durable, long lasting, and hard-wearing, this finish provides a tough, UV, water, and mould resistant barrier – perfect for decking, windows, and doors.
How to Use
Preparation:
- For a maintenance coat: If your existing Heavy Duty coating is in good condition, clean the surface with Intergrain UltraPrep™ Timber Cleaner.
- For new timber: Treat with Intergrain UltraPrep Tannin & Oil Remover, then clean with UltraPrep Timber Cleaner.
- For grey or weathered timber: Clean with UltraPrep Timber Cleaner. Severely weathered timber may require sanding back to a fresh surface.
- For timber with an existing poor coating: Remove the coating using a combination of UltraPrep Tannin & Oil Remover and power washing, then clean with UltraPrep Timber Cleaner.
- If mould is present, use Intergrain UltraPrep Mould Killer as the first step.
Application:
- Remove excess water and let the timber dry for at least 1 hour.
- Stir thoroughly before and during use.
- Apply using a brush, roller, applicator pad, or spray (do not use a roller if not recommended).
- Apply 2–3 coats for optimal finish; 4 coats may be needed in extreme conditions.
- Allow 4 hours (240 minutes) between coats.
